Song Of The Week - Bob Dylan - Most Of The Time - (By Way Of John Cusack)
Well, here we are again – either slightly late, or slightly early, depending how you look at it. It’s Song Of The Week time. And we’re back in familiar territory. We’ve written about Dylan before. And all of it still applies. We’ve written about Cusack before – you remember, lots of black, long coats, a raging talent, that kind of stuff. Still applies.
lastword once sat down with John Cusack and discussed the use of music in his films. Not the worrying amount of his films that keep going “straight to video”, as it used to be called. But his films – the handful that include Grosse Point Blank and High Fidelity. The man knows his music. And he once said, when it came to capturing heartbreak on film – “Most of the time, it’s ‘Most Of The Time.’”
We couldn’t agree more.
(Apologies for the lack of visuals, but as Loudon Wainwright once sang - "This song don't have a video, use your imagination...")
As ever – hit “play.”
