Pitt Doubles For DiCaprio. And Quentin Has A Title
Quentin Tarantino has finally revealed the name of his long-gestating ‘60s/Hollywood/Manson-in-the-background movie. And it is…Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. (So is this QT’s first fairy tale?) At the same time, he announced that Brad Pitt is officially on board – playing stunt double to Leonardo DiCaprio’s fading leading man (had to happen eventually, Leo), both of whom are struggling to make it in the movies in Hollywood – middle aged struggling actors? Interesting…
Margot Robbie is still in talks to play Sharon Tate – Manson victim and neighbour to Leo both.
Here’s what QT has to say for himself about it all - "I’ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was 7 years old, I’m very excited to tell this story of an LA, and a Hollywood that don’t exist anymore. And I couldn’t be happier about the dynamic teaming of DiCaprio & Pitt as Rick & Cliff."
Filming starts later this year, with August 9 2019 set as the release date, not coincidentally the 50th anniversary of the Manson killings.
After that? Star Trek, Quentin? As your final movie??
