Boyle & Curtis - An Airport Run of A Different Colour...UPDATED - And The Beatles Came Too??
Latest word has it that the Boyle-Curtis music movie team up will feature music by The Beatles. Which leads us to say “Wow!” If anyone could ever pull off such a thing (depending on what such a thing actually is) we have a lot of faith in these two. And could perfectly understand why Boyle would be willing to pass up a Bond for a Beatles.
But are they thinking or actually using real Beatles music? Or do we have to recall Across The Universe??
The coming days will undoubtedly tell us more…
ORIGINAL POST - A few days ago his name was being linked to the next Bond (something he is apparently still working on with Trainspotting scribe John Hodge.) In the meantime, Danny Boyle has attached himself to a new movie from the pen of all things British romcom, Richard Curtis. All we know so far is that it’s set in the ‘60s or possibly the ‘70s – or possibly both, and is music themed. Both men have always displayed a love for pop music in their work, with Boyle admittedly a touch edgier than Curtis with his fondness for Wet, Wet, Wet, Ronan Keating, and the like.
What this will end up being? Who knows?
What it means for Boyle and Bond? Who knows?
Basically…that’s all we know.
