Sadly missing out, but landing as runner up (NSFC list their runner ups), was Saoirse Ronan who saw the Best Actress gong go to Sally Hawkins, for both Shape Of Water and the much under valued Maudie. Elsewhere, in the battle of the British Daniels – Kaluuya beat out Day Lewis. Here’s the rest Best Film: “Lady Bird” Best Director: Greta Gerwig, “Lady Bird” Best Actor: Daniel Kaluuya, “Get Out” Best Actress: Sally Hawkins, “The Shape of Water” and “Maudie” Best Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe, “The Florida Project” Best Supporting Actress: Laurie Metcalf, “Lady Bird” Best Screenplay: Greta Gerwig, “Lady Bird” Best Foreign Language Film: “Graduation” Best Non-Fiction Film: “Faces Places” Best Cinematography: Roger Deakins, “Blade Runner 2049”
