The Martian - Funniest. Film. EVER!

Ricky Gervais held forth over the Hollywood Foreign Press Association last night as the Golden Globes were handed out and the awards season became…more confused, really.

We now know that The Martian is officially the funniest movie of the year, with Matt Damon the funniest actor in a Comedy or Musical. On the more serious side of things, The Revenant picked up Globes for Picture, Director and finally that win for Leo.  Brie Larson leaps back into the fray picking up Best Actress for Room. Aaron Sorkin won Best Screenplay for Steve Jobs, with Kate Winslett also nabbing Best Supporting. Tarantino seemed very happy to pick up a Globe on behalf of Ennio Morricone, Ridley Scott proved he’s a grumpy old man who won’t leave the stage, and Sly Stallone is ready for his Oscar.

So, despite that whole Comedy confusion, a pretty reasonable bunch of winners – with only one major gaffe – how could they give anything to that terrible, terrible Bond song??
