Writers Big On Forgiveness
Just one week more to go! (And then just about two weeks before it starts all over again.) This weekend saw the final preliminaries before the potentially shambolic Oscar night next Sunday, and the big winners at the Writers Guild awards were Can You Ever Forgive Me? (for adapted) and Bo Burnham’s Eight Grade (original).
Elsewhere this weekend, at the Sound Editors Golden Reel awards, Bo Rap took two, whilst A Quiet Place and Roma took one a piece. Meanwhile, the Cinema Audio Society gave its major award also to Bo Rap, with Isle Of Dogs winning in the animation category, and Free Solo in the docs.
Hold tight – almost there now!
