The Favourite Is The Favourite With The Critics' Choice

The Critics' Choice Awards (those voted for by the Broadcast Film Critics Association) has released their list of nominations – and, with sections such as Best Action Film, Best Comedy etc, it’s fair to say it’s the longest list of awards season so far. And leading that list is Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Favourite with a whopping 14 nominations. Black Panther is not far behind with a sizeable 12 (although notably no directing nod for Ryan Coogler), and First Man, landing 10. Mary Poppins Returns, Vice and A Star Is Born were next, numbers-wise, with 9 a piece, Roma scored 8 and Green Book has seven.

The awards will be announced on January 19
