Critics Go With The Rider - Still Fond Of Roma
The National Society Of Film Critics have made their choices a little bit more esoteric that those of the PGA, with The Rider pipping Roma to the top spot – although Alfonso did walk away with Best Director, Cinematography and Foreign Language Film. Good news for Ethan Hawke and Olivia Colman who continue to make their presence felt, picking up Best Actor and Actress, respectively. Less good for Richard E. Grant for only coming runner up in Best Supporting.
