'Twas The Night Before Oscar Part 1 - Razzies Announce
As is now long-term traditional, the Razzies took the day before Oscar’s big night to announce the “winners” of their worst of the year awards. And, as expected, Batman Vs Superman Yawn Of Justice was a big winner, but it was trumped by the woman that couldn’t trump Trump – Hillary Clinton. Yes, the former Presidential candidate finally won one – although probably not how she would have liked as Hillary’s America: The Secret History Of The Democratic Party all but swept the board with “wins” for Worst Picture, Worst Actress for Becky Turner as Hillary, and the double whammy of Worst Actor and Worst Director for the film’s mastermind, Dinesh D’Souza – it should be noted that he won for Worst Actor as “Himself.” Which is some kind of unique achievement.
Not to be totally outdone, Bats V Supes picked up Worst Supporting Actor for Jesse Eisenberg, Worst Screen Combo for Affleck and Cavill, Worst Screenplay and Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip Off or Sequel.
Kristin Wiig broke the Hilary and Bats curse by landing Worst Supporting Actress for Zoolander 2.
Mel Gibson was the only one who would have gone away smiling (had anyone shown up) having landed the Razzie Redeemer Award for directing Hacksaw Ridge.
